Privacy Policy
WASD Corporation ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through this Privacy Policy. This document explains how information is collected, used, and safeguarded when you use our product, Kinn ("Service"). By accessing or using Kinn, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information we collect
We collect limited, business-related information only when you use our Service.
1.1 Information you provide
When registering for Kinn or contacting support, we may collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Company name
- Billing details (processed by a secure third-party provider)
- Account credentials
1.2 Data collected from public platforms
Kinn analyzes publicly available content related to video games from sources such as Discord, Reddit, YouTube, Twitch, Steam, and public reviews, comments, and forums. This data may include public comments, public reviews, video titles and descriptions, timestamps, and public engagement metrics (likes, replies, etc.).
We do not collect or store any private messages. We do not collect or store any personally identifying information (PII) such as real names, email addresses, device identifiers, or account IDs from these platforms.
2. YouTube / Google API disclosure
Kinn may use YouTube API Services to retrieve publicly available data from videos and channels that are submitted via URL by our users, or automatically indexed based on specific video-game tagging.
Important clarifications: users do not log in to YouTube through Kinn, and we do not collect, store, or process Google account credentials, YouTube user IDs, OAuth tokens, or any Google-authenticated data. All data pulled from YouTube is public data only.
YouTube data retention
Data retrieved via YouTube API Services is retained only as long as permitted under the YouTube API Services Terms of Service. In general, raw YouTube data (such as comments, descriptions, and metadata pulled directly from the API) is not stored for more than 30 days, unless refreshed or otherwise permitted by YouTube policies. Data that is aggregated, anonymized, or transformed into analytical output may be retained longer for trend analysis and reporting, provided it no longer contains identifiable YouTube user information or raw content. We do not store YouTube usernames, user IDs, or private account information.
Use of this data is governed by the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can review Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Revoking access. Users may revoke Kinn's access to YouTube API Services at any time by visiting the Google Security Settings page — a standard requirement for any service utilizing YouTube API Services. You can manage or revoke access at myaccount.google.com/connections.
Data deletion procedure (YouTube-related data). Kinn stores only publicly available YouTube content retrieved via the API, such as video metadata, channel names, public comments, and transcripts. We do not store any YouTube user credentials, authorized user data, or authentication tokens. If a user requests deletion of YouTube-related data, Kinn will remove all stored data associated with the requested videos or channels within 30 days. To request deletion, email support@kinn.gg. Once deletion is completed, we will provide written confirmation.
3. How we use information
We use collected information solely to:
- Provide analytics and insights on player sentiment and feedback
- Improve the Service and develop new features
- Provide customer support
- Communicate updates and service messages
- Administer billing and account access
- Maintain platform security and prevent misuse
We do not sell personal data.
4. Data retention
We retain data only for as long as necessary to provide our Service and for legitimate business purposes.
- Account data: retained while your subscription is active
- Analytical data: retained according to your subscription plan and internal retention policy
- Deleted accounts: fully removed within 30 days of confirmed cancellation (unless legally required to retain longer)
You may request deletion at any time by emailing support@kinn.gg.
5. Data security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted data storage, secure authentication protocols, role-based access controls, continuous system monitoring, and limited internal access. No system is 100% secure, but we take all reasonable measures to protect your data.
6. Sharing of information
We only share your information with required infrastructure and analytics providers (e.g., hosting and billing partners), when legally required to comply with law or court order, or to prevent fraud, illegal activity, or harm to users. All third parties are bound by strict data protection agreements.
7. International users
If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, you acknowledge that your information may be processed and stored in the United States, where data protection laws may differ.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access your data, request correction, request deletion, object to processing, or request data portability. Submit any request to support@kinn.gg.
9. Children's privacy
Kinn is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date and notify users via email or a notice inside the platform. Continued use of Kinn after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
